Blue Ridge Jams
Made in the United States
Merlot Wine Jelly is a delicious, full bodied wine with a deep fruity flavor. Merlot Wine Jellies are hand made in small batches, with the sweetest merlot wines and pure cane sugar. Wine jellies are a versatile product that can be used on everything from your breakfast scones or used as a glaze for your favorite meats like chicken and pork. While actual wine is used to make this product the alcohol cooks out, leaving only the wonderfully decadent flavor.

I like the Blue Ridge jellies and jams because they are so plain and honest -- a little cane sugar, the juice of the fruit, and sometimes some of the fruit, in question, and a little citric acid, and that's it -- not a lot of taste gimmickry. The merlot wine jelly is the same, with just enough real merlot so that you know it's there, but not overdoing it. I add just a little to my pork stew to get pretty close to a gourmet taste, and it gives a little zip to heavier breads. Love it.
