Pear preserves are hand made in small batches, with fresh chopped pears and pure cane sugar to create a delicious gourmet fruit preserve. A old fashioned pear preserve is made from large pieces of peaches and are cooked to the point where the pears are suspended in a jelly like mixture. The texture of the preserves are not as smooth as jelly or jam, but instead is chunky with the fruit.
